Advanced Recon Commandos
Origin of ARC Troopers
The Advanced Recon Commandos, also known as ARC Troopers, are an elite variant of the clone troopers that serve our Galactic Republic. At the beginning of the clone wars, 12 clones of Jango Fett were created, where only 6 survived incubation. They were genetically modified to be stronger, more tactically aware, and served as the prototypes that would make up the Clone Troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic. They were deemed failures, as there independence and disobedience to follow orders caused them to stray against superiors. Deemed Null-Class, they were sent for termination, saved by Kal Skirata, a known Mandalorian Warrior, who trained them as Black Ops Commandos.
The next batch of clones were 100 Alpha-ARCs, which were genetically modified in a similar way to the Null-ARCs, but Jango Fett took personal responsibility in instructing these clones, and ensuring they are obedient and loyal to the Jedi Order. However, they still had independent minds, and would voice their disagreements and opinions of the Jedi Order where they found orders incompetent in strategy.
ARC Troopers
ARC Troopers were clones who had strategic minds, and were deemed to go above and beyond in battle. They were scouted out, and trained to gain the status of ARC Trooper, gaining the superior weaponry, as well as the combat expertise taught by the GAR’s most experienced ARC Commanders. Alongside their equipment, they were granted specialised armour, as well as survival packs, which allowed them to perform in any environment. Rancor Battalion often would be stationed at Tipoca City, searching for the most skilled individuals to take on the challenge of becoming a Special Operations unit.
ARC Evaluations
The journey to becoming an ARC Trooper starts at a Nominee, where your skills and awareness are tested in combat, manoeuvrability and knowledge. With 21 days to train, you have the chance to learn from the best that the GAR can offer, improving your ability to take down enemies, scale environments before your enemy has a chance to react, and have the tactical awareness and strategy to outsmart your opponent. After completing your 21 days of training, you will face an evaluation, which will test the areas necessary for an ARC Trooper to succeed. Only after passing this evaluation will you receive the status of ARC Trooper, and go on to lead the republic to victory. Fail, and you shall have to start from the beginning, proving you are actually worthy of becoming one of the Republic's most elite soldiers.
ARC Equipment
Westar M5 - An extremely effective blaster rifle, calibrated to fire in semi-automatic, automatic, and burst-fire modes. The weapon is highly customisable, with a wide variety of attachments to assist with recoil, increase accuracy, and different magazines to suit the needs of the user. Our engineers have modified the weapon to be interchangeable with regimental duties, changing between an SMG, DMR & Heavy Rifle, each with its specific uses.
Dual DC17S - A rapid fire dual pair of DC17S’s are the ideal weapon for ARC Troopers who perform best at high speeds, and with maximum efficiency. With a very high RPM, and being lightweight, ARC Troopers are able to manoeuvre across terrain at max speed, whilst still taking down enemies in their reach. For quick executions, it comes equipped with a charge shot, able to fire a deadly projectile, taking out anything in its way.
Grapple Hook - A device that allows users to climb, ascend, or descend large objects and manoeuvre their way across the battlefield. With training, this becomes a key equipment to ARC Troopers, allowing them to gain tremendous advantage points, or surprise enemies, and take them out with ease.
