Suggestion: Addition of Siege Legion specialisation to GM
Reason:
We’re looking to introduce a new GM spec called Siege Legion – breach-focused, frontline-heavy, and built to give more troopers something to work toward with the current spec caps being tighter. It’d sit alongside Flame Company as a 5-man unit. This coincides with the IC suggestion made on the same topic.

Loadout:​

  • TL-50 Mod 1
  • DP-23 Shotgun
  • Grapple Hook
  • Breaching Charges
  • Juggernaut Suits

Job Needed:​

  • Name: GM Siege Legion Trooper
  • HP/Armour: 400 HP / 25 Armour
  • Model: Siege Legion model (from MrOuldy’s GM model post)
  • Loadout: As listed above
  • Job Code GMSL

Balancing Notes:​

  • No shock grenades for SL
  • No incendiary grenades for SL
  • No thermal detonators for SL
  • Same stats as FT (400 HP / 25 Armour)
  • Both Flame Company and Siege Legion to be capped at 5 troopers
  • Juggsuits removed from LT job to make them exclusive to Siege Legion


Addons Needed: None (pending result of GM Models suggestion)

This is a great idea for a couple of reasons. First off, having Siege Legion gives GM the ability to reliably handle breaches on our own, either solo or alongside RC, which means other regs don’t need to get dragged into every door push. It frees them up to focus on other objectives instead of waiting around for a breach to clear. That kind of separation of responsibilities makes events run smoother and lets everyone play to their strengths.


On top of that, GM is full right now, and we just don’t have enough spec slots to go around — even some officers are locked out due to caps. Adding Siege Legion gives more people something to work toward without bloating the reg or stepping on the toes of existing specs. The limits and restrictions help keep things balanced, and tying jug suits directly to the spec instead of the LT job makes them feel earned rather than just handed out.


If there are any concerns about balance, I think it makes way more sense to talk it through with the commander instead of outright denying it. There’s a solid concept here, and with how things are laid out, there’s definitely room to find a middle ground if needed.

Jug suits and shootguns make sence for a CQC reg.
Making it a spec with the cap of 5 people so not all can acces the jug suits and the shotgun at once for balancing sounds good.

Would also give the troopers in GM another option to specialize into something now that we have a full reg and with the other specs currently full. (not counting ARC)

Jugg Suits and Shotguns would Enhance our Breaches a Massive amount making the Regiment more and more self sufficient and with doing so Provides more Flavor to the Regiment inciting new members and such
