Another round of Medical suggestions!

Suggestion: Make the medi gun have ramping healing speed

Current: heals a flat amount from the get go
( Current stats: ~435 per 10s )

Proposed: Make it so it starts off slower and ramps up healing speed.
( Proposed stats: starts at ~355 per second and ramps to ~625 after around 12 seconds )

Reason: Healing high hp targets takes a very long time and with the ramping healing i feel like it will overall cut down on the healing time spent on each high hp target, the max speed of healing would take a long time to kick in therefor it wont be instantly activated and this isnt just a flat medi gun buff, my reasoning behind this is written above aswell as making the medigun more specialised in healing higher hp targets such as jedi, CR, RC and higher ranking troopers aswell

Suggestion: Make a Visual indicator to show when combat tagged ( for medics only so we dont annoy the whole server )

Current: it is sometimes rather difficult, especially when on the FL with bullets flying around you and constantly hitting you, to know when you get uncombat tagged so you can start healing again

Proposed: Add a small indicator to indicate when in combat, could just be a medical simple ontop of the screen ( same as the one that the medi gun shows when holding )

Reason: For those without and even with a medi gun trying to discern when someone is combat tagged or when you are is rather difficult, making a noticeable but not obstructing combat tag symbol would allow medics to keep ontop of the 10 second combat tag easier and make it much less guess work especially with how hectic the FL can get in most events.

Current: Currently while healing its a massive guessing game on the side of the medics to know when someone is low, medium or high/full hp

Proposed: Add a visual indicator for medics only to show what hp the target being healed is at

Reason: When trying to heal, with anything bar the medi gun ( so every medic bar 5 people ) you cannot tell if youre properly healing them, what their hp is or how much longer youll be needing to heal them for, the small indicator suggested will mitigate this and allow all medical personnel to know what hp their target is at so we will more accurately heal people! ( Plus its only 230kb )

I think the first suggestion you need to relook at because that seems like a massive nerf to MOs than a buff if the target doesn't have a massive health pool or certain MOs will pocket someone in combat so it can ramp up to 12 seconds and then they got a 625 healing second and nothing really gonna to kill them unless they can get the medic or that person gets one shot off something

also it can't be that low for the medi gun normal healing to be 435 per 10 seconds, hopefully not
 
I like your idea of making the heal ramping up, however having this ramp up after 12 seconds would be too long, as the person you are healing would be fully healed before the 12 second timer had hit.

Unless you were saying that it would still be ramped up after use? However this may prove difficult to code.

After looking further into how this server medi gun works, considering this is a ramping healing that can be used actively whilst the person is in combat, you could be looking at an invincible trooper potentially if they were to be pocket healed.

Might still be worth a test though!

Ideally it would be quicker however having it ramp to max quickly would be quite OP as it would just be a flat buff pretty much, 12 seconds is a long time however, so hopefully it could be around 6-8 seconds

what you could do for the healing high hp targets is to just make the healing percentage based instead so then it heals everyone to full in the same tim, dont know how you would dev that but thats not my problem

This suggestion has been Denied

The Admin team felt that these changes were unneeded and ill give a brief explanation as to why for each.
In regards to the Medigun change, we believe that the medigun is already in a stable place as it allows you to heal from range and still do quite a decent amount of healing.
With regards to the other two suggestions, they have been denied due to concerns around how they could impact server performance.
